Brunel are recruiting an Upstream Production Services Trainer to manage, coordinate and deliver training sessions for MPS Apprentices, field service and workshop personnel, staff and customers.

  • Provide training to the field service and workshop personnel by populating the training calendar based on examining training matrix, register and field service roster. Training will be both classroom and workshop based
  • Provide training to customers and customer facilities (domestic or abroad)
  • Liaise with customers on both technical queries and general business requirements where appropriate
  • Establish a reputation with clients for providing consistent high standards of work and on time deliveryHandle and direct complaints to the appropriate department / personnel and be involved in the resolution to ensure complete customer satisfaction is maintained
  • Ensure that the quality policies and procedures are adhered to and these are reviewed for changes or improvement on a regular basis by using the corrective action and non-conformance reports to identify system compliance and potential changes
  • Ensure that all work has been completed, inspected and signed off before passing on to the next operation
  • Ensure that the scheduled maintenance and care for all equipment and tooling is carried out and records completed.
  • Adhere to company policies, and demonstrate commitment and participation in HSE initiatives for improvement which shall include ensuring that the workshop remains a clean and safe working environment
  • Attend regular safety toolbox meetings in-house and on-site as scheduled by the HSE Management team and the Client
  • Develop a sound mechanical understanding of various valve and actuator types
  • Develop a sound understanding of the hydrostatic and pneumatic testing requirements of various valve types and pressures
  • Develop and mentor MPS apprentices in accordance with internal and external policies, procedures, industry standards and best practices so they are operational ready at the completion of their apprenticeship
  • Document monthly meetings to ensure apprentice objectives are met and maintain regular communication
  • Lead by example ensuring OI/RIR/SQ levels and OTC levels are kept at required minimums
  • Assists the production team in achieving company targets for monthly output, production profit and on-time delivery, thus meeting budget and customer delivery requirements
  • Ensure that all offshore and onshore activities are carried out as per the specifications of the contract as required by client
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the work permits issued by the client
  • Be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Carry out all pre-start checks on equipment and other related items before commencing with the jobMaintain the offshore equipment, tooling and containers in a manner that ensures that the items are fit for purpose and easily located
  • Cooperate and comply with any reasonable policy or procedure of the person conducting the business or undertaking relating to health or safety at the workplace that has been notified to workers.Inspect, maintain and utilise all equipment in accordance with safe work practices as instructed by the manufacturer, Company or as per industry best practices.
  • Lead by example ensuring OI/RIR/SQ levels and OTC levels are kept at required minimums.
  • Assists the production team in achieving company targets for monthly output, production profit and on-time delivery, thus meeting budget and customer delivery requirementsAssists in the continual improvement of production efficiency, improvement in lead times, and reduction of waste
  • Ensure that all offshore and onshore activities are carried out as per the specifications of the contract as required by client
  • Carry out all pre-start checks on equipment and other related items before commencing with the job
  • Maintain the offshore equipment, tooling and containers in a manner that ensures that the items are fit for purpose and easily located

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Able to relocate to Perth if not presently residing
  • Mechanical / Machinist trade qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the mechanical field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of valve trouble shooting, preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Sound working knowledge of flange facers, as well as torque, and tension equipment
  • Working Knowledge of industrial safety legislation, issues, general requirements and practices.
  • Significant PSV experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • In depth valve knowledge covering Ball valves, Gate valves, Check valves, Orbit valves, Actuators and Pressure safety valves
  • Experience in pressure testing
  • high degree of verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Self-motivated
