We have an urgent opening for Principal Technical Professional – Electrical for our client a leading oil & gas company to join their growing team. This would be 6 months contract on Brunel Payroll (extendable based on project requirements) and the job location would be (Location).

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university with minimum of 14-18 years of experience in electrical engineering and design activities in EPC/Consultancy firm;

Extensive knowledge in International Codes and standards such as IEC, BSI, IEEE/ANSI, NEC and latest engineering developments, commercial availability, and cost of the materials;

Ability to lead the team of engineers and designers with clear established plan, Manhour estimations, staff forecasting, develop the schedule, progress reporting and executing the project with uncompromised quality;

Extensive knowledge on Electrical system engineering and design of Large-scale LNG/Petrochemical/Oil&Gas/Ammonia and Industrial facilities for complete engineering cycle such as Conceptual design, Basic Engineering, FEED and EPC;

Good written and oral communication skills;

Excellent change and time management capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, strong judgment and decision-making skills;

Skills in ETAP/EMTP/CYME, SPEL, AVEVA will be an added advantage.

This position serves as
an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or performs complex to difficult
engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies engineering methods,
techniques, Procedures and criteria to a broad set of complex assignments for
one of the upcoming Ammonia / Urea / Petrochemical projects;

Develop and review the schedules, manpower forecasts and progress reports;

Provide technical direction to engineers and designers for execution of medium to large size projects. Perform the task independely on assigned projects as when required;

Coordinate with project management team, discipline manager to ensure execution of scope of work inline with defined schedule/milestones;

Develop, review and coordinate documents with other disciplines, and/or Other KBR offices located globally, Customers and Field engineering team;

Develop and Review electrical design criteria and specifications related to HV/MV/LV Switchgears, Power and Distribution transformers, Busducts, AC and DC UPS, VFDs, HV/LV Cables, ENMCS/PMS Systems, E-house Packages, Bulk Materials and other discipline packages;

Coordinate/Participate in activities associated with material procurement such as Material requisitions, Vendor offer review, Technical bid evaluation and Vendor drawing review of all major electrical equipments, Bulk materials and other discipline packages;

Perform and review the Lists and schedule such as Load Lists, Cable schedule, I/O Schedule, Single line Diagrams, Meter and relay diagrams, equipment layouts and sizing calculations;

Review of major electrical design deliverables Power Layout, Grounding Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Installation details, Bulk Material MTOs, Cable Block diagram and Interconnection diagrams as minimum;

Ensures electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards;

In addition to electrical engineering & design deliverables, Extensive knowledge on performing the Power system study independently such as Load Flow, Short circuit, Motor starting, Harmonics, Arc flash and Transient stability study, Protection coordination and setting will be an added advantage;

Participate in Quality Audits to make sure the defect free deliverables throughout the project execution. Conduct the technical audit/Peer Review for other projects as when required;

Demonstrates leadership qualities with emphasis on continuous improvement and team building, and interpersonal communication skills.
