Brunel are recruiting an URF Team Leader to work with our client to leading the construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning areas within the Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (URF) during the execution phase/ Phase 2 of our clients current project.

  • Contributing to achievement of Offshore Targets & Objectives and Offshore HSE Targets & Objectives by ownership of specifically agreed offshore targets with GM.
  • Leading the construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning areas within the Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (URF) during the execution phase – Currently Phase 2a.Ensuring URF equipment package close out and offshore campaign readiness.
  • Providing subject matter expertise input to readiness reviews, construction review, HAZOPs, HAZID and related workshops.
  • Building a collaborative working relationship with key contractor personnel to effectively work through issues. Embody project behavioural expectations cascaded by management.
  • Oversee and supervise URF engineering and package delivery teams.
  • Key role in tendering, approvals and awarding of project URF contracts.
  • contract representative for project certain URF EPCI contracts.
  • Liaise with GM and Project Controls Manager for resolution of commercial and contractual related matters.
  • Providing URF subject matter expertise into other parts of the organisation.

Administration

  • Oversee, supervise, and lead the execution of URF subsea projects scopes in the engineering, package management, installation engineering, construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning. In doing so, ensure that the project schedule, budget, and technical requirements are, as a minimum, met or improved upon.
  • Liaise with project and other stakeholders in relation to resolution of construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning interfaces.
  • Liaise with Logistic and Marine department for Vessel assurance (inspection and suitability survey), Field Entry Permit and MWS interfaces.
  • Establish an accurately defined schedule for all phases of construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning and ensure up to date.
  • Bring to earliest attention of the GM potential engineering, construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning issues which present a significant threat to the URF Package and offer mitigating measures/work plans.
  • Manage all interface aspects with SPS package in relation to transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities

Technical Expertise

  • Excellent working level knowledge of all aspects of construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and ensure industry best-practice principles are applied to the project.
  • Oversee URF Engineering and lead/participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID/ENVID, constructability review workshops etc.
  • Work with subsea TA1 to resolve engineering, construction, transport, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning related interface issues and technical queries

Requirements

Requirements

  • Tertiary Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • 15+ years’ experience covering construction and installation of subsea infrastructure within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Previous experience working in client and contractors teams on URF EPCI contracts.Good understanding and working knowledge of SPS and URF equipment packages and engineering especially URF engineering and flowline design aspects.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
