We are hiring a Senior Systems Analyst to join our mining oil and gas client’s leading and growing team! This is a permanent full- time opportunity where you will be responsible for the management, implementation, and support of Azure services.

Responsibilities

  • Management, implementation, and support of Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, DaaS, SaaS).
  • A strong understanding of big data and IoT would be a benefit.
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification would be a benefit.
  • Management and support of Microsoft identity and security services (Conditional access, Cloud App Security, Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection, Intune, and Azure Security Center).
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) certification would be a benefit.
  • Plan and implement new technology deployments.
  • Active Directory and Azure Active Directory implementation and support.
  • Work with MS365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, PowerPlatform, Dynamics365)
  • Documentation of systems, systems configurations, and topology / network diagrams.
  • Pro-actively assist and mentor other team members on an ongoing basis.
  • Detect, diagnose, report, and resolve Windows/Linux server related hardware and OS problems.
  • Designing and implementing improvements and modifications for server, remote network access and storage components
  • Manage, maintain, and improve IT security technologies, governance, and compliance, conforming to security standards and practices.
  • Working within the company standard processes, including Change Management, Incident Management and Project Management Methodologies.
  • Work closely with other support teams including Service Desk, Enterprise Applications, and Security to provide immediate resolution and a positive client experience.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are in place to meet delivery expectations. Ensure appropriate training, knowledge-transfer takes place to meet these expectations.
  • Oversee and collaborate with vendors to ensure systems and services supplied meet business needs.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with other IT teams/resources in delivering required solutions.
  • Experience with Project Management initiatives in the IT Infrastructure space would be a good asset.
  • Rotational On-Call after hours support.
  • Communicate unambiguously, listen effectively, and foster open communication among team members.
  • Ensure organizational messages are delivered in a timely way to team members.
  • Creates a healthy interpersonal and team-oriented environment.
  • Is customer service minded and develops and maintains cordial, effective partnerships with business area and other IT employee-partners
  • Ensures business satisfaction by managing expectations, understanding service level expectations, and delivering IT solutions in a timely and cost-effective fashion.
  • Supervises vendor performance and contractor resources and ensures they are performing competently, and that our client is receiving services aligned with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with external businesses and partner agencies.
  • Ensures that best practices are followed for the delivery, implementation, and maintenance of systems by employee-partners and contractors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project-management skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery.
  • Documenting technical procedures, standards, and policies.
  • 7-10 years of demonstrated experience in an enterprise environment deploying, maintaining, and supporting Windows and Linux.
  • 3 years demonstrated deploying and managing cloud-based technologies (Microsoft Azure). Experience with Big Data, IoT and AI would be a benefit
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification would be a benefit.
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) certification would be a benefit.
  • Experience with enterprise blade enclosures, preferably HP hardware.
  • Microsoft365 experience would be a benefit.
  • Experience in Microsoft infrastructure and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of backup technologies and concepts.
  • Knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection and Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection.
  • An in-depth knowledge of IT Security covering security management, systems, and compliance.
  • Competent with protocols of all core LAN/WAN technologies including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP
  • Exposure to oil and gas industry.
