Brunel Australasia is seeking a Python Developer in the Power Trading group, you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient operation of the team, delivering solutions to business and supporting the operations of those solutions.

As a Full Stack Developer in the Power Trading Team you will be responsible for contributing to the efficient operation of the team, delivering solutions to business and supporting the operations of those solutions:

• Use and promote Functional, Clean Architecture and SOLID Programming practices and values

• Ensure solutions are testable and write automated unit, integration and E2E tests that support delivery

• Design innovative technical solutions using Agile Methodologies

• Use a continuous delivery mindset to ensure a frictionless path to production

• Work closely with the Ops team to support the production digital stack

• A drive to deliver and support high quality solution that deliver value for the business

Skills and experience:
• A drive to deliver and support high quality solution that deliver value for the business
• Innovative and questioning nature to explore ideas and prototype solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience within the Australian Power industry (NEM & WEM) and the associated data, highly regarded
• Experience working with Azure Cloud environment highly regarded Key Communications & Working Relationships Power Trading Product Team Members work closely with the Power Trading team and Power Trading Product Team. Quality cross-team and inter-departmental relationships are expected to be established and fostered. Internal Relationships
• Excellent engineering skills across a range of technologies (full stack for preference) with advanced skills in an area of specialisation. Specific skill areas include: o Python development skills, including demonstrated experience developing on Python both UX and data processing solutions o DevOps, Containerisation and Cloud Native delivery (on AWS or Azure. Shell uses Azure). C# development skills, or a desire to work with C# and T-SQL
